Together we can...
‘Education should develop children’s personality and talents to the full’ (UNCRC Article 29)
On behalf of the staff, governors and children, I would like to welcome you to Cleves Cross Primary and Nursery School. I feel very privileged and proud to be the Head Teacher of this wonderful school, especially after starting my career here as a newly qualified teacher.
Our school nurtured me on my journey throughout my teaching career and allowed me to flourish, thrive and succeed. This is exactly what we want for all of our children.
Our aim is to provide children with a nurturing and supportive environment that allows all learners to thrive and to become responsible and respectful members of our school, our local community and the wider world.
We strive for all of our children to become lifelong learners, to be aspirational and to be the very best version of themselves that they can be. We actively promote our Rights Respecting ethos and our values of Care, Ambition, Respect, Resilience and Teamwork through everything we do in school.
We really value the role that parents and carers play in their children’s learning and encourage them to participate in school life. Our motto of ‘Together we can…’ rightly tells us all that the strong partnerships we develop help children in their educational journey.
Our website aims to give you a taster of school life, as well as providing regular updated information. If you would like to find out more about our school, then please do not hesitate to contact us to arrange a visit.

We started with a lovely circle time sharing interesting facts about ourselves, got together to read The Gruffalo, enjoyed some time outside and finished off letting our imaginations run wild getting creative with all the resources. What a fantastic morning we’ve had with our new Year 6 pupils as they took part in a very exciting (and slightly chaotic!) Marshmallow Challenge as part of their transition activities!
Armed with spaghetti, tape, string, and a marshmallow on top, the children worked in teams to build the tallest free-standing structures they could… all against the clock! ⏱️🍡
There was plenty of laughter, creative thinking, a few “nearly there!” moments, and lots of brilliant teamwork along the way. We were so impressed with how well the children supported each other and embraced the challenge with such enthusiasm. ... See MoreSee Less
