Personal Development
At Cleves Cross Primary School and Nursery, we aim to inspire childrenβs interests and curiosity to know more about how to live in the wider world. We want our children to become healthy, independent and responsible members of our school and wider community. We want children to learn about their rights and the rights of others, so they appreciate what it means to be a tolerant member of a diverse society. We encourage children to develop their sense of self-worth by playing a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community. We aim to create lifelong learners who understand how to build strong and healthy relationships, manage their emotions and form positive beliefs, values and attitudes.
Personal Development is at the heart of our school learning journey. It encourages and embeds a range of skills that allow children to develop learning for life. As part of a whole school approach, Personal Development supports the qualities and attributes children need to Thrive as individuals and as members of society.

They were particularly impressed with our involvement with the tubs2pubs campaign, our litter picking events and how well the whole school got involved with βEarth Dayβ. They said: βYou have shown as a school you are incredibly dedicated and enthusiastic about keeping our planet safe for the next generation. You are all superstars!βππβ»οΈ ... See MoreSee Less

To our amazing Year 6 class of 2026,
As you leave primary school behind, take a moment to look back on all the memories you have made. From your first days of learning and growing, to the friendships, laughter, challenges and achievements that have shaped you, every moment has helped make you the incredible people you are today.
You have shared countless smiles, supported each other through ups and downs, and created friendships that will stay with you long after you leave these classrooms. The playground games, the funny moments, the lessons learned and the memories made will always be a special part of your journey.
Although it is time to move on to new adventures, remember the friends who walked beside you, the teachers who believed in you, and the wonderful memories you created together. Carry your kindness, courage and confidence with you as you begin the next chapter.
Class of 2026, be proud of how far you have come. Dream big, stay true to yourselves, and never forget the special bond you shared as a Year 6 class.
Good luck for the future β you will always be remembered. ... See MoreSee Less
