British Science Week

Every class from Nursery to Year 6 will be taking part in a practical investigation this
week as part of their science activities. The children will develop their skills of ‘hands
on’ investigation based around a common theme – ‘biscuits’. As you will agree, it’s a
very interesting topic! The children will answer the enquiry question for their class.
EYFS: What happens when a gingerbread man gets wet? Year 1/2: Which is the
best biscuit for dunking? Year 3: Which type of biscuit is the best for dunking? Year 4
How does the temperature of the liquid affect a dunking biscuit? Year 5 Which
factors make a biscuit great for dunking? Year 6 Are more expensive biscuits better
for dunking? Watch out for the photograph!
