Joshua Blood
I have been teaching at Cleves Cross for 8 years now and really enjoy being a teacher here. Throughout my time at Cleves Cross, I have taught in different year groups including Year 5, Year 2 and Year 6 which is where I am teaching at the moment.
I am currently completing an NPQSL (National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership) and look forward to progressing in my career further in the future.
Cleves Cross is a really special place to work – my colleagues and the children make the job very rewarding. One of my favourite elements of working at Cleves Cross is seeing our young children progress and develop into well rounded individuals who are ready to move onto the next stage of their lives.
My responsibilities in school include: PE subject leader, PSHE with RSE subject leader, Mental Health Champion, Eco Co-ordinator and this year supporting our ECT by being their mentor.
I look forward to being a staff governor and assisting in helping improve the school further.
Year 5 have had a lovely afternoon making parachutes to help answer the question ‘Does the size of a parachute affect the time it takes for it to fall to the ground?’ as part or our air resistance unit. Year 3 took advantage of the nice weather and went on a hunt for some natural resources to use in art.
