“I applied to become a Governor through the “Governors for Schools” scheme as I wanted to expand my professional horizons, but primarily because I wanted to understand more about the educational framework my eldest is due to enter in the next couple of years. I wanted to get involved at a local school I knew he wouldn’t attend, so I can approach Governing with impartiality.
I have over 16 years experience in the Health, Fitness and Wellbeing sector, in back office roles covering management, customer operations and strategy, with involvement in IT and finance to boot! I have a keen interest in promoting staff and pupil wellbeing and look forward to applying some of my knowledge and skills to the Governor role.
